  • Hey mate, i would have messaged you this but i was un able to message you so i thought i would have to put it here. Anyways as you can tell im JozMan, owner of Off The Cross bar, a fairly new Football("soccer") forum i was wondering if you would be interested in a partnership with our two forums, thank you for you time and i look foward to you responce. :)
Pollard couldn't hurt, he is around the team and did moderately well last season. Probably a D or E
Yeah regarding the T20 specialist players, those contract lists miss a few of them out. For example Michael Pollard played most of last season for Wellington yet missed out on a contract so didn't get into that list. Jimmy Neesham will certainly be playing for Otago too. Meanwhile a solid chunk (McIntosh included) are unlikely to play at all but are in those squads for FC and List A cricket.

Auckland alone has a few funny listings in there, Andrew de Boorder hasn't played a T20 yet and is a pretty ponderous Test bat so might not get a chance. Bruce Martin didn't play last season instead being favoured for Hira and Bhupinder. Raval hasn't played either (but I sort of expect him too soon).

Last year when I ran a HRV domestic selector on here it was pretty noticeable at how very very hard it was to pick these teams. They're by far the most difficult to know who will play, and to gauge how good they are.
I also cringed a little at how low some guys like Milne (who have been selected for our T20I team) were rated. KNB is another who might do with a slight increase. He has close to the world record for fastest T20 fifty and bowls too.

Overall it seems pretty solid but there are a fair few T20 specialist domestic guys missing out and players featured who won't play at all.
Hey James just having a look at the HRV figures you've got. McIntosh at B? He has never played an official T20!!!
No worries at all. Most of the player ratings looked correct anyway so it was really easy.
Hi James, I'm on msn now. I actually spoke to Cribb yesterday about it and we worked out a few changes, he might have already updated the changes? From memory Maxwell was to move up, Holland to move down. There were a few others too.
Sounds do able. I probably won't be able to look at it until tomorrow though, but I'm happy to do a sense check for you.
Hey James, we've had quite an explosive reaction regarding this so you should probably check it out.
Thanks James. I guess it's easy to be cynical when people have signed up with multis in order to pretend to be famous (and not so famous) players in the past. A real shame, would have been good to have a yarn or two with Crowey.
What's this Martin Crowe shamizzle all about? I've been away for a few days - I can't seem to make sense of what's happened in the ...Martin Crowe... thread. What gives?
The posts you deleted were regarding a new event in the whole ordeal when the man himself actually came to the forum and said his bit. Should a new thread get started so we can talk about when Crowe came along? Or should forum members never talk about something that is interesting or out of the ordinary like this?

It may have been a tangent from the original topic, but it was hardly "completely off-topic". It was a tangent that was perfectly legitimate for the thread to head towards. There would certainly be a limit to the sort of horse play about the situation that could be allowed, but no one was insulting, no one was trolling, it was a rather harmless buzz of excitement.
