The intellectual dishonesty comment was poor. I admit that. However the arguments presented were not logically sound, and if I have time I can demonstrate that. Shifting goal posts and the like.

I agree that the fault lies the the members for reacting in that way. However, short of infracting ten different members or doing something like If you have nothing to contribute... - BF3S Forums I have few options.

Ooook. With the benefit of a night's sleep and it not being 3:30am in the morning, I can see your point. However, the issue is that the last two pages of the thread had universally degenerated severely.

The problem was that it wasn't about comparison of eras. It was a Bradman thread. That was its problem all along, despite the valiant efforts of some, the entire thread was orieted towards Bradman, which is why I told karan (and anyone else), if you want to make a comparison across eras thread, fine, but you have to be careful lest it be misinterpreted as a Bradman thread.

It shouldn't up to the point that that is their legitimate opinion.

If Poster B, C, D... X says "you are an idiot" or various variations on it and it continues from there - ie. that becomes the crux of the thread, why on earth should that thread remain open? What, and let it continue from there? Delete every post other than the OP? That is not how I moderate, that is not how I believe moderation should be done.

As for the second, I believed so, but I'm no fit state to reassess now. GIven that it took me three attempts to spell "their" correctly, I am calling it a night. It has been a long one, I assure you.
