OMG get over that poll result. The only time I refer to those polls is to rebuke the idea you have that Kallis by consensus rated ahead of Miller. Please check.

YOU are the one bringing up poll results as if they matter so much. I can show examples.

Who cares? They are wrong. As they are about Ambrose vs Lillee.

I've always criticized Ambrose on a country by country basis. Stop strawmanning.

Dude you bright up that poll multiple times and not in response to me or anyone.

In one particular instance you said it's good that we've finally started to rate him correctly and dropped him down a spot where he belongs.

So the 4 rankings, and at least 4 or 5 polls I can recall are all wrong and you know best.

Anyways, your lack of objectively when it comes to him shines through daily.
The last one was when you said that if Bumrah entered the GOAT conversation that you would drop Marshall and keep Immy in your attack. I mean, you can't use the reverse argument as to why he's needed, Bumrah is there for that. And to drop the greatest bowler ever to fit in Imran for batting is like dropping Tendulkar for Hammond because I want a stronger cordon. Exactly the same.

Imran ran rampant at home with no guard rails and plenty of assistance from the umpires. He was below ATG standards when presented with neutral conditions, regardless how you want to spin it.

For the era that he played, he was rated behind Marshall, Lillee and Hadlee and right alongside Holding. But it's not like if you're the peer rating guy.

People who rated Lillee highly are the ones who lives through his reign as the greatest of all time.
My uncle used to tell me back then he was the best.

There are some players who you can get behind only if you watched them play and Lillee was one of them

None of this points to what you assert that I treat them like some sort of authority.

Thanks for demonstrating that you see them like an authority.

Dude you drop Hammond to get in Kallis. You are a total hypocrite.

As for Imran and Bumrah, Imran would be a better reverser and he bats no.8, Bumrah would be a better allround swing bowler than Marshall.

I challenge you to show me series by series how Imran underperformed away from home. I CHALLENGE YOU.

I would take this argument more seriously if you didn't switch you entire tune on Donald and argue how underrated he was.

I don't think Imran under performed. He performed to the level of talent he had. An away average of 25.76 even in that era isn't something to scoff at.
He was bad in the following:
England 1974
Australia 1879
India 1986/87
Australia 1990

Australia 1976, took wickets but was expensive.
WI 1976/77, took wickets but expensive.. was only good in 2 innings. If Pakistan won that series, I'd overlook the average because he'd have got the job done but that's not he case.

Aus 90 he was basically past it as a bowler and playing as a bat.

India 86/87 is similar to the Lillee series in Pakistan, notoriously dead pitches designed for no results.

Eng 74 and Aus 79 yes were bad series.
