Whatever it takes!!!
That Arshad pick really costing GT today IMO. Dropped Arya who then made 40 odd after that.. gave away runs in his only over. If they had Washy for him, I get the feeling GT may well have won today.

Not convinced with Rutherford over Philipps. Maybe they can get both to play and not play Buttler and play an Indian keeper in there somewhere. Expected more or at least faster scoring from Buttler in such a chase.

Siraj was absolutely trash in last over . I would say if he had a decent last over GT win this .

My daughter just asked why they had white dancers if it's in India.......I presume they use the 4 overseas rule in that too.
i'm just glad there is 1 place where go-go dancers haven't been cancelled. i suspect they will disappear from the IPL in the near future though

Rutherford > Philips 🧐 ?
It kind of makes sense. I can't adjust the numbers for conditions, but raw numbers suggest Phillips is way better vs spin in the middle overs and Rutherford is better at hitting pace bowling at the death (Phillips averages 17 @205 SR vs pace since 2023 in the last 4 overs, Rutherford 33 @200). Given the match situation when Rutherford walked in he was probably the right call. Chahal only had 1 left to bowl.

RR, GT, MI, LSG look like teams with some gaping holes and some poor selections.

KKR, DC, CSK - middling teams who could go well on a good day

PBKS, SRH, RCB - strongest looking teams so far

A bit harsh on GT, wasn't much between them and Punjab yesterday and I suspect they'll be one of the better outfits. But RR appear to have major deficiencies in both batting and bowling.
