haha.. I was obviously exaggerating to make a point. But to me, its plain dumb to disregard what a genius Murali was, as a bowler. You have seen the clips of him flipping the coin off a glass placed on top of the stumps right? When every other bowler either could not hit the glass or broke it. He had the coin flipped off without displacing the glass even an mm.
Man I remember seeing that video. Wasn’t it with Swann?

I don't have a dog in this fight but I'd give Murali some leeway where away stats are concerned. In countries Warne and Murali have in common, they tended to do similarly. They both sucked monkey balls in India but unfortunately Murali also had to contend with another atg batting lineup aka Australia.
Think they're the same as bowlers, Warne just brings a bit more as a cricketer.

Really isn't much to separate them

I think I'd have Hadlee there

I genuinely believe that the value of lower order batting gets underrated, in last 6 months I can think of three tests that were saved by batsmen of Warne's capability or downright won due to them.
Fully agree, but you do have Warne and Marshall there, and without impacting the bowling.

But yeah, Hadlee over McGrath isn't that big a deal, more of a preference. Mine for sure though.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

I know you always try to get a response, but this is too idiotic for words.

Good try though.

An AT bowling attack and your removing the greatest bowler with the most well rounded record and most complete skill set.

You're hilarious.
Hey look @subshakerz he took you off ignore and we’re back to regular programming. Happy ending for everyone.

First off, there's no haters, no one here hates Murali. One of the craziest phrases.

Yes, Warne had better help up front to get rid of some of the top order guys, but Murali also had home pitches that were made for him. He also had full a cess to the tail. There's a trade off, especially with regards to wpm.

Having great support doesn't make you great, you have it or you don't.
Not true. In fact it was Warne who had acess to more cheap tail end wickets, because Australian attack more aften got to it.

46% of Warne's wickets are 7-11 and 45.1% of Murali's wickets are 7-11, not a relevant gap.

Murali 8-11 32.5%. Warne 37.1.

Seems like Murali took a lot of number 7 wickets.
In fact it was the number 7 was his most common dismissal, with 101 wickets. Least common was 11 with 42. Warne’s is 5 with 82 and 1 with 42.

Warne never dismissed an opener for a duck, unlike Murali. Both bowlers dismissed 102 batsmen for ducks.

Tbh I start with lower order at 7 because 7/8 are AR roles, but from 9-11 which are pure tail, Murali has 26% and Warne has 23%, can't be bothered to remove minnows rn

I actually was feeling fine with being on ignore except he started bringing me up again and again which I have to admit was annoying.

Kyear doesn't want to admit it but without me he simply gets bored.
