ODI All Rounder Poll - Discussions

Gillespie was double wasn't a top tier knock under high pressure against the team who have defeated Australia prior and boosted a pretty reasonable line-up of Rawson, Traicos, Curran and Fletcher.
I wasn't saying the knocks were the same level, just that they were both outliers in their respective careers (I'm actual a big Kapil fan, like I am with all of the big 4 allrounders of the '80s)

I just think Kapil's batting is getting a bit underrated from a modern average lens. In his time, Srikkanth was one of India's top ODI bats, he averaged 28.

Surprised to see Afridi getting so many votes. His batting average (23.58) is nothing special while his bowling stat (34.51) is equally as unimpressive. His batting/bowling differential (-10.93) is unacceptable imo. Others have far better qualifications.

Played nearly 400 games, that should be worth something imo. SR of 117 and Eco of 4.6 are there and did pretty well in 2011 WC. Nothing Great, but Great ODI All-rounders are behind us.

Harris averaged 29.
He was a quality middle overs bowler, while Collingwood was more part-time. Look at economy rates and find Harris re fielding on YouTube. He was Jonty/Ponting/Symonds/Gibbs level, while Collingwood was a tier below.
There isn't a huge difference in their bowling (Harris is better, but not by a lot).

Harris was a 5th bowler and Collingwood a 6th bowler mostly because Flintoff was in the side. When Flintoff didn't play, Collingwood bowled a lot more and was more a 5th bowler.

Also they played in slightly different eras so I wouldn't directly compare their economy rates. They are probably a lot closer when it comes to economy when adjusting for eras

Really?
Johnson just played for 2 years… and Raza bowling is worser than Stokes.
Johnson was amazing in the 99 World Cup - not far behind Klusener.

Raza has mostly played far weaker teams than Stokes which makes it harder to assess but his bowling is clearly better.

Stokes has an economy rate over 6, while Raza's is 4.84.
