I think you simply are missing our point here. Simply put, the number of cricket fans is no less than Basketball ones. And MJ is no longer seen as the undisputed best in his sport either. In terms of influence, I can't see a point for SRT being behind Jordan at all. Might be because pretty much no one cares for Basketball in our culture, but at least on fan following, Sachin isn't behind
This is the post you guys responded to. Its completely correct. Then you guys try to claim Tendulkar is as iconic and influential in the same way? Outside of India, no, he’s never seen anywhere near that level. In fact, outside of India, he’s not even seen as the best player in his own sport. lol
And pretty much every greatest sportsperson list made by Indians would list whom? And how many made by non-Indians would feature Tendulkar at/near the top compared to how many made by non-Americans would feature Jordan at/near the top? I wonder…
Every time I see a Greatest Sportsperson List without Dhyan Chand from Field Hockey, it goes straight to the bin. Have seen a few combining Field and Ice Hockey, which makes about as much sense as combining Badminton and Tennis. We have slave mentality

This is exactly right. You can’t see outside the sphere of your own country’s influence to see what a global influence basketball and Jordan have had compared to Tendulkar in India. Its a very narrowminded view of “oh in my country he’s the best” justified by “my country is the most populous”I think you simply are missing our point here. probably Basketball if they're really winning China.Which has more fans?
Basketball outside of the US or Cricket outside of India?
Again, as I simply said, just spreaded across more countries doesn't makes something more global. If something is more popular in Vanuatu and Fiji than China, is it really the same thing?? You could argue for a middle ground, I found that a bit pedantic. India is not uniform land which is a hivemind. Basketball is spreading but for now, cricket simply has more fans. And I never saw anyone worshipping MJ like Tendulkar. This is exactly right. The only truly global sport is football really. Basketball is more spread out, cricket has a slightly bigger fanbase.Definition of global…
adjective
relating to the whole world; worldwide.
Nah he's rubbish at cricket too.Well, I atleast hope we all can agree that Messi way above both of them here.
Looks just a naturally bent arm to me - I reckon he'd be within the 15 degrees.Yeah.
Chucks it imo.
Sachin : One of the best ever in cricketWell, I atleast hope we all can agree that Messi way above both of them here.
