imo Walsh was decent in Australia then.Yes he was. Won 3 MOTM and was our main component in a whole ass series win in 86. One terrible series doesn't rights off the other things he did.

Did Walsh won WI a series in Australia??imo Walsh was decent in Australia then.
Was the Australia Walsh faced as weak as the England Kapil faced?Did Walsh won WI a series in Australia??
They weren't as strong as the WI Dev facedWas the Australia Walsh faced as weak as the England Kapil faced?
Dont be modest.Don't take much that @Migara or @Pap Finn Keighl say seriously.
Ah good completely switch itThey weren't as strong as the WI Dev faced
You were the one to brought in Australia's strength in the 1st place Lol. And not like I (or as a matter of fact, literally anyone) ever said Kapil was as good a bowler as Walsh lol.Ah good completely switch it
No, you randomly brought up WI when we’re talking about Kapil’s record in England. You were the one to brought in Australia's strength in the 1st place Lol. And not like I (or as a matter of fact, literally anyone) ever said Kapil was as good a bowler as Walsh lol.
Kapil won MOS in a 3 match series in England. No, he wasn’t.
I’ve no idea why. England won, Botham was better batting and bowling. People are idiots.Kapil won MOS in a 3 match series in England.
FYI, Botham took 9 wickets and 400+ runs in that series.
You randomly brought in Australia and Walsh first lolNo, you randomly brought up WI when we’re talking about Kapil’s record in England.
Not random, I was comparing 2 **** records. If Kapil is decent in England, I’ll also shout Pollock and Anderson as decent in Australia too.You randomly brought in Australia and Walsh first lol
Did any of them won a MOS or 3 MOTM in those places??Not random, I was comparing 2 **** records. If Kapil is decent in England, I’ll also shout Pollock and Anderson as decent in Australia too.
Because Kapil did it against stronger opponents and he had lesser support.I’ve no idea why. England won, Botham was better batting and bowling. People are idiots.
I cbf to check. imo it doesn’t matter. Like I said, people are idiots. You may as well ask who was rated better by the Australian mediaDid any of them won a MOS or 3 MOTM in those places??
Really? Now you claim England’s batting was stronger than India’s?Because Kapil did it against stronger opponents and he had lesser support.
Yes..Some people are idiots.
I think you are forgetting that many a times the impact of runs and wickets matters a lot toI cbf to check. imo it doesn’t matter. Like I said, people are idiots. You may as well ask who was rated better by the Australian media
A player can be considered better than his numbers if you can make a case he did well in tough conditions and elevated his game against the best opposition right? I feel like "better than his numbers" is a very standard way to describe a player who manages to do the above, not sure what peak has to do with it tbh.How are you better than your numbers if you were pretty consistent throughout your career. There's no Botham or Punter decline that takes away from from they did during their prime.
Having a massive peak than dropping off isn't being better than numbers. Playing in flat tracks with **** support is.
He is decentish in England and pretty good in Pakistan. You are objectively wrong.
1. Indian pitches were predominantly flat. Kapil's away performance hardly over writes that.To answer your first point. It may not be better, but it was sure as hell more impactful, which is the point of the sport.
During those impactful years he was immensely more valuable to his team and to the sport. He was a match winner.
And as I just said in another thread.
1. If he had averaged 26 away and 32 home I would give credence to being hampered by home pitches, it was the other way round.
2. All this talk of flat pitches really isn't helping your Sunny arguments. He's definitely not beating this fair weather merchant tag.
The highlighted bit is just nonsense and not even responding to that.
You lack any level of objectivity when it comes to certain players, 3 to be exact.
