12th Match - India v New Zealand

O'Rourke is going to be such a gun bowler. Bit of Pat Cummins about him, bowls a heavy ball and hits that nasty length again and again.
As long as he stays on the park. My main fear is, given his build, he'll miss a lot of games due to being cast in a Twilight reboot.

???? This is not a rugby forum, but...

1995 - We suffered food poisoning but there was no shame and no choke in losing after extra time at altitude.

1999 - SA won the 3rd/4th match. Not a knockout.

2003 - we beat them in a knockout (qf)

2015 - we beat them in a knockout (sf)

2019 - we beat them in pool play (not a knockout)

2023 - controversially we had a try disallowed and our captain red carded. We played heroically with 14 players for 60 mins. There was no shame and no choke for losing by 1 point.

We've perhaps choked in Rugby World Cups against France and Australia, but never SA. Were comprehensively beaten by England once too.
What's the tri nations overall stats?

SA won the two most important games in the Rugby world cup against NZ. Period. Thats all that matters. Shatters every superior head to head or QF/semi win out of the water.

SA the greatest Rugby nation of all time!!
Can you both take the rugby talk to the rugby thread. It pervades every other aspect of NZ life and media and you can all **** right off with that boring XV talk here

The BC’s seem to have a very good balance within this team with a full potent pace attack featuring plenty of height, plenty of spin options, strong batting to the point where Conway can’t be squeezed in and the line up includes one of the ‘Big Four’ plus an emerging superstar in Ravindra, and a dynamic fielder in Phillips. This would be one of the stronger sides we’ve fielded. In the past NZ were described as a team with ‘no stars’ that ‘punched above their weight’. That seems to have changed, these days our players do seem to get a lot of kudos.

Axar really getting bogged down feels like something gonna give soon.
I find it absurd they lose early poles and send him in presumably to steady things when the next bloke in is a test match opener. Bizarre decision.

GG is annoyingly hell bent on left-right combos.

And yet for some reason, didn't want Rishabh Pant in the ODI side apparently. Picking him over Rahul would give him exactly what he wants, a left hander at #5.
