10th Match - Afghanistan v Australia

King Kane

International Vice-Captain
I don't think Smith would have been that generous if Afghanistan looked like scoring over 300.

They are over 250 now though and could get over 270 which would still be competitive.

Afghanistan need to phase out Hashmat from the ODI team and make Rashid/Azmat the ODI captain. Easily the weakest link in the team. Surely they must have a better batsman out there who can score at a better strike rate than Shahidi does.

Very very generous.
i hope they wouldn’t be so generous against England.
what is with all the lack of respect for the crease now. any batsman that does that deserves to be out.

That score of 273 probably isn't enough but it gives Afghanistan a chance, they looked like getting a score below 250 which would give them no chance

Just had a quick glance in their domestic cricket ..Immediately found some players with impressive List A records ..

Bilal Ahmad Tarin (20 years old) - 592 runs @45 , SR 88

Darwish Rasooli (25 years old) - 2300 runs @48 SR 92

Mohammad Ishaq (20 years old) 654 runs @43 SR 103

That's just 3 names I picked up in 10 mins

It's a knockout game so early wickets and it's certainly defendable, they have to get Head quickly , also Short cannot bat too long as he scores quickly ..
