Ben Raine extends Durham deal

Durham Cricket are thrilled to announce that Ben Raine has committed his future to the club, by signing a new deal at Seat Unique Riverside.
The 33-year-old, Academy product, has put pen to paper on a new three-year contract, which will keep him in the north east until at least the end of the 2027 season.
Raine, who returned to Durham in 2019 from Leicestershire has been a vital member of the squad since re-joining, claiming 60 wickets in Durham’s trophy winning season back to Division One.
His 60 wickets saw him top the wicket tally in Division Two enjoying his most prolific campaign with the ball over a career spanning over 13 years.
The right arm seamer made his first-class debut for Durham in 2011 against Sri Lanka and in total has 461 first-class scalps to his name.
251 of those wickets coming in a Durham shirt including a best of 6/27 against Sussex in 2019.
A solid all-rounder, Raine has registered over 3920 first-class runs, which included his maiden first-class century against Worcestershire.
His T20 record also impresses with 115 Blast wickets while his 100 against Birmingham Bears in 2018 was the second fastest T20 century by an Englishman, on his way to a blistering 113 from 46 balls with eight fours and ten sixes.
On his contract, Raine said: “I am thrilled to be offered the opportunity to extend my career here at Durham, the clubs in a great place and the opportunity to enjoy the final few years of my career at my home club with some great people is an absolute honour.”
