6th Match - Bangladesh v New Zealand

Not Terrible
5th fastest to 1000 runs for NZ
it's insane because he gave every indication of being one of those long term project players who shows glimmers of talent but takes until his late 20s to tighten up his game but he's just come in and bossed it immediately
I don't entirely agree with this assessment, I think he was given more time to develop his game at domestic level and ease into international cricket. By this age Guptill/Taylor/Williamson/McMillan/Fleming/McCullum/Latham had all played twice the number of ODIs/Tests/T20 that Rachin has.

I think our bowling in ODIs has actually regressed while the test bowling has come on in leaps and bounds. Shakib's white ball bowling is a huge loss and Miraz hasn't been up to it for a while.
I think you have a good crop of pacers, Taskin , Mustafizur, Tazim , Shoriful, Hasan Mahmud , Nahid Rana is good fast bowling depth..

I think Rishad Hossain is a talented spinner..
Mehidy I think is taking on too much responsibility , he's not good enough to be batting at no.3 ..Kinda reminds me of Shadab Khan in a way, got way too carried away with all rounder tag and became a no all rounder

That was a top innings, didn't have any problems on a pitch where others haven't been timing it that well.

The dismissal does go back to the post which talked about how he isn't ruthless enough. No need to gift your wicket to the opposition when you've got them by the throat.

Yeah, he certainly wasn't a 19 year old fresh faced debutant who came in and blew the world away, ala Kane with a ton on debut in India. He had more domestic cricket than any other NZ wunderkind I remember, or in fact any 'this guy is world class' sort of product.

He's a hell of a player. He had a **** series against England at home in the Tests, and his attitude for batting long periods looked off, so he's clearly not the finished article. But if he gets his head more consistently right, he's one of the best in the world.

What's the best SWENA ODI XI of Asian ethnicity?

I'll go with

1.Hashim Amla
2.Shivnarine Chanderpaul
3.Rachin Ravindra
4.Ramnaresh Sarwan
5.Ravi Bopara
6.Nicholas Pooran (WK)
7.Moeen Ali
8.Adil Rashid
9.Ravi Rampaul
10.Saqib Mahmood
11.Imran Tahir

Not bad !
Khawaja is not a bad option,I think he has decent record in whatever chance he was given.

tbf in international cricket he doesn't have to contend with the likes of Sean Solia and Will Williams, his kryptonite
on domestic pitches with seam movement
