Jeffrey Dahmer Ted Bundy and Edmund Kemper disagree with you.Twice is literally multiple times though
Smith and Marnus at 3 and 4 bring a sense of solidity. I'd like to see one of Carey or Inglis open the batting. I'd say Carey at the moment given I think he's better against fast bowling. Also not sure what Hardie has done to get all the chances that he is getting because he has literally done nothing in this format both internally or domestically. Can't believe I'm saying this but I'd rather preferred Stoinis. I mean Webster would have been betterThis has to be our best top 7 right now
1. Head
2. Labuschagne (or Short/McGurk)
3. Smith
4. Inglis
5. Carey
6. Maxwell
7. Hardie
Actually on second thought, not sure if Hardie adds more value to the side compared to Short. Short could atleast get them off to a flyer if the wickets remain true plus he bowls useful offspin which I think would be better suited on Pakistan pitchesSmith and Marnus at 3 and 4 bring a sense of solidity. It’s not the group stages which are the problem for the Saffers!England are going to win the group
Afghanistan dont have the tools
South Africa will bottle it, like they always do
Australia are an old boys club coming to the end
3 wins and into the Semi finals![]()

I wouldn't back England to win a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, much less the group.England are going to win the group

I really thought they were going to stick with Hardie for the sake of his overs, but looks like you were right. Supposedly they're going for that top 7 + Dwarshius over Abbott.Actually on second thought, not sure if Hardie adds more value to the side compared to Short. Batting looks considerably stronger with this formation
I think Ellis, Johnson and Zampa are the locks, with the suggestion now that Dwarshuis comes in ahead of Abbott if Hardie doesn't play because they need someone to take the new ball with Johnson. Though I'm not trusting that's what will happen until it's officially announced. Looks weak either way & as everyone has already pointed out, it would make a lot more sense to have Bartlett in the team. That top 7 looks very strong. Just wondering what the bowling attack will look like without the big 3. Ellis Abbot Dwarsho & Zampa, with Maxwell and the others to fill in?
A rather large assumption, especially given our ability against spin! They did get a bit of a pummelling against South Africa, but I wouldn’t hold that against them too much as on paper SA are a fabulous sideTuesday is going to be a huge day as if Australia beat South Africa they're pretty much locked in for a semi-final with just Afghanistan to play after that (so Aus 6 points)
Assuming Eng beat Afg on Wed, then SA and Eng would both be on 2 points so the winner of their game will also be in a semi-final
However, more likely imo would be that SA beat Aus so then Eng will have to beat SA to stay in it. Then Aus, Eng and SA should all have 4 points so down to NRR (sorry Afghanistan)
They absolutely can beat England, and if it took a once in a lifetime knock from Maxwell to beat them in the World Cup when they had a full-strength side, then they have a decent chance up against a much weaker bowling unitIf SA beat Australia, this group is done? Or can Afg spring a surprise and beat Aus/Eng?
