Unless you're actually analysing how a player's record in a country demonstrates a weakness in their game, there is no appreciable difference.
It's a weakness in their record though regardless of if it's a weakness in their game or not. Recognizing that is a first step and it can be justified depending on the context.

Hadlee’s bowling will win me more tests and vs each other i could see Hadlee doing better vs Sachin than vice versa. Plus I like how people give Hadlee props for carrying Nz in other comparisons but suddenly this doesn't come up here. Hadlee for me.

Even Holding's bowling will win more tests than Sachin. It's not a good criteria.

I know that ICC ratings and rankings are suspect but my job here, as a loyal Hadlee supporter, is to present those metrics which make him look good compared to Sachin. Hence this post.

What I like about Hadlee's ICC Test Bowling Ranking graph is that it seems to have a horizontal asymptote at y = 1 (the red line):

What this means is that if Hadlee had not retired but had just kept on playing then he would have retained the #1 ranking until the end of time.

Sachin's ICC Test Batting Ranking graph is more chaotic and less aesthetically pleasing to me. The end of it reminds me of the 1940 Tacoma Narrows Bridge collapse where the oscillations got larger and larger, eventually resulting in the presumed death (his body was never found) of a three-legged black c0cker spaniel called Tubby:

Hadlee's graph shows true greatness - the presence of infinity (the asymptote) but Sachin's graph shows the death of man's best friend. The contrast could not be more stark.

Hadlee's highest ICC Test bowling rating of 909 ranks 12th equal historically:

Tendulkar's highest ICC Test batting rating of 898 ranks 34th equal historically:

I don’t know how anyone could not find the Tacoma Narrows bridge collapse not aesthetically pleasing.
I don't think Tubby would have been too pleased! To be honest, he wasn't exactly being "man's best friend" when he bit that engineering professor who was trying to save him. I believe that man got off the bridge in the nick of time (it might have collapsed less than a minute later). But yes, there's some beautiful physics going on there! I used to think that the collapse was mainly due to resonance but now I'm hearing stuff about "aeroelastic flutter".
