Additionally with a spinner on board, Dujon is a non starter.
I’ve seen you say this before, is this an actual weakness of Dujon’s or something you’re just assuming?
I'm thinking it's just something he's assuming because Dujon mainly kept to 4 pacers so his skills against spinners was never really known. Given his reflexes and amazing agility behind the stumps I think he would have done fine keeping to Gibbs and Sobers

Dujon only really kept to Roger Harper in 24 tests where he took only 45 wkts and part-timer Carl Hooper where he took only 15 wkts in 32 tests. For Dujon to get 5 stumpings when these 2 were his best spinners seems pretty good to me

Don’t forget noted part timer Viv Richards

Outstanding team actually, even if Frank is batting out of position a bit.
Yeah I reckon Worrell is my only gamble, he has really good numbers in the top 4 and I don't think #3 opening is too outrageous, plus, he's easily the choice for Captain.

It's because I actually watched Dujon keep and miss several stumpings.

He wasn't abysmal, but he wasn't great either.

And he actually opened and scored a hundred doing it.

Smith opened and was about to score a ton before everyone got out. Should he open in Aus XI so we can have Smith/Bradman/Ponting/Chappell/Border?
That's entirely up to you.

But Smith was also abject failure at the top averaging 28 and looking uncomfortable.

The other, in brief opportunity did a little better.

Plus you seem to have no issue batting Hutton at 3 for England to get your precious Sutcliffe on the team.

What's the difference?

Brah he has 1 good score and 5 failures. But ok.

Actually, its to get your precious Hutton in. Its different imo, because opening is a specialist position, and transitioning to opener has been shown over and over again to be more difficult than moving down the order.

Like I don't think anyone really thinks an opener batting in the MO is a tough transition.
