Yeah it's been a whileHaven't seen KG hit pace like this in ages honestly...like 2020 or 2019 maybe?

I feel like he cranks it up in OD games.Yeah it's been a while
Lungi at his best is a very skilled bowler. It’s why I get so frustrated with him, he has all the natural gifts.Even though Lungi travelled a bit, there was marked improvement from the warm-up games. Still quite a bit to find though. If we can get him performing we will feel that is our biggest hole filled.
Still think he has lost that fizz he had when he started. Bounce, jagging off the seam at 140ish. Tends to turn to cutters very early but at least when he gets it right we know he has all that in his locker.Lungi at his best is a very skilled bowler. Started like a house on fire . Got to 50 ODI wickets in just 26 ODI matches , no South African quick got to 50 ODI wickets quicker .Still think he has lost that fizz he had when he started. Lol at not including England thereAfghanistan need a Dubai-esque pitch to make any sort of impact in this CT
On flat pitches with not a lot of turn, teams like Australia, SA etc are just going to outbat them out of the game
Yeah, 7 was ridiculousYeah, I guess though I prefer there being a little too few ODIs than the old 5 or even 7 game series there used to be until the 3t20s and 3ODIs that many tours now consist of. However, it is harder to identify which mainly t20 or mainly test players have the transferable skills for 50 overs.
never seen him get into the high 140s like that in many years no matter the format....perhaps i missed some ocassions, glad to see rabada being old school rabada though....if nortje and coetzee aren't there, he should be the enforcer in this attackI feel like he cranks it up in OD games.
Considering we will be relying on Joe Root with the ball, I think it goes to show how important all-rounders are in 50 over cricket! It is a good question as to what format lends itself best to 50 over cricket, hard to answer with the lack of 50 over cricket played by a lot of players these days, but looking at our squad, Test players like Duckett and Brook seem more suited to the format than a T20 gun like Phil Salt (albeit on the flip side, Atkinson has had a roaring start to his Test career and hasn’t got to grips with limited overs)Yeah, 7 was ridiculous
Still think you need to do the basics well for a decent period of time. 100s and taking wickets matter (not just relying on batsman coming at you). So I think there is more chance of good test cricketers being good enough for ODIs still than ones stepping up from T20s and making a real success of it? Maybe niche positions like finishers, ARs, mystery spinners?
Daniel Norcross said his bowling average at his two 50 over World Cups was 47, including this game, his global 50 over tournament average now exceeds 50. Has done well at the Asian Cup, but there is a vast difference between his records in India and the UAE compared with England and PakistanNah hes just good, his stats are massively inflated from feasting on the likes of Ireland and Zimbabwe. If you look at top 9 teams his record is basically identical to Graeme Swann who while a very good bowler, no one would regard as a top 10 greatest ever. Top 10 T20I spinner ever I'd definitely agree with.
