Yeah he did a fair bit of commentary during the 1996 WC in the subcontinent, plus that 1993/94 tri series in AUS from memory. Did think he was the aural equivalent of a sleeping pill.

Yeah when Twose doesn't figure in the conversation (or so I assume), you know things have been far better than they were once. He was legit one of the best ODI batsmen in the world over a 2-year period though.

I remember Andrew Jones was pretty much our best and most consistent ODI batsman in the late 80's/early 90's and never got a hundred in that format.

If Ravindra was available Young and Latham were the two batsmen most likely to be dropped for him so maybe him missing is a blessing in disguise.

There is still a long way to go yet but this partnership from Young and Latham has got us back on an even keel when our ship looked like it was sinking.
