Sobers wasn’t?
Multiple people rated Harvey, May, at times Hanif and team mate Kanhai higher, purely as batsmen. Probably him being an all-rounder counted against him. He and Kanhai were rated neck and neck till around 65, and when pulled ahead, many rated (actually a majority) Pollock higher.

I mean, I just wanted to know all the holes. My wording might be a bit weird.
ah no worries, by holes in his batting I mean he has some issues

vs Flat spin, this is a self admitted issue and it shows in his struggles against Anil Kumble, Venkatpathy Raju, Saqlain Mushtaq and c'mon, even he admitted it.

vs Express Pace, was scared to face Shoaib, did fear the great pacers, struggled with Donald who was express pace and got out to him multiple times.

vs Bounce, this is a personal one but he looked hopeless against the Ashes 2005 quaret whenever there was inconsistent bounce, I saw this too, he made his 400* at the flattest pitch ever at Antingua Recreation Ground.

vs Reverse, we saw what happened when he faced the two Ws, don't need to say much more than that.

he clearly had quite a few more weaknesses, sure he was Bradmanesque against conventional seamer/swingers and flighted spin, but not nearly had the flawlessness of Viv or Tendulkar.

Sachin & Richards have the most flawless records imo. I never saw Viv play but watched Sachin’s entire career and he was technically perfect.

I’ wait till Smith retires before judging him but for now he seems to be on his way to joining both though he has the most unconventional style.

Pollock would be an elite ATG without Apartheid
