Hmm. Interested to see if either plays 4 day cricket this year in preparation for Sammy becoming coach.

Today is the start of round 2 matches:

Guyana Harpy Eagles vs CCC

Leeward Islands Hurricanes vs Jamaica Scorpions

Barbados Pride vs West Indies Academy (Pink ball)

Windward Islands Volcanoes vs TT Red Force (Pink ball)

So I see wi has an interesting year coming up:

3 tests home to Australia
2 tests away to india
3 tests away to NZ

My prediction:

0-2 or 3 vs Australia
0-2 vs India
0-2 or 3 vs NZ

Anything outside those results, will be a massive improvement honestly.

Some notable performances in today's play so far:

- Kraigg Brathwaite (BP)- 133* (205)
- John Campbell (JS)- 126 (150)
- Kavem Hodge (WIV)- 126 (142)
- Jonathan Drakes (BP)- 105* (160)

TBF to Jewel, he was dismissed in the first innings by one which pitched outside leg and then span to hit the top of off. Excellent intent in the second. I love watching him bat.

Kevlon now has nearly 1000 FC runs at an average of 42. If he keeps that up by the end of the tournament, surely he has to be picked? That's Bradmanesque by recent standards.

Jyd Goolie got runs again as well. Hopefully he plays all the matches this year.

I was most excited watching Tamarie Redwood though. 18 year old leggie taking a 7 wicket haul on debut. He was slightly inconsistent, but definitely turns his leggie considerably and has a workable googly
Looking back at your post here today.

Jewel blazed his team to victory in the 4th innings with another half-century-- 62* (81), 6x4, 2x6

John Campbell is coming for Mikyle Louis's spot.
Kevlon had a below average game but was there at the end as we secure our victory.
Imlach is showing that this level of cricket is meant to be dominated by him.
Does Sammy want to consider Jason Mohammed?

Jason Mohammed with another century— his third in three innings

Joshua Da Silva spanked 152 (214)

Jangoo made a few— 60 (69), batting at number 3

Something about number of centurions in this year’s competition that needs to take notice. The bats are batting
