Joshua Bishop with All 4 wickets to have fallen for the Hurricanes… 4-55 (21)

Other notable performances so far:

John Campbell (Jamaica Scorpions)- 79 (91)
Jermaine Blackwood (Jamaica Scorpions)-57 (103)
Zachary McCaskie (Barbados Pride)- 64 (75)
Jonathan Drakes (Barbados Pride)- 70 (120)

Trinidad are batting first in the pink ball match- 77/0 against the CCC

Two of our young batsmen who went to Chennai for training:

Kirk McKenzie- 1 (12)
Jewel Andrew- 0 (1)

Ironically, both fell to spinners

The Trinis are piling it on against the CCC (who is probably the weakest team in the competition)

TT Red Force- 302/2 (85)

Cephas Cooper 80 (140), Jyd Goolie 76* (122), Jason Mohammed 75* (119), Vikash Mohan 66 (132)

Blackwood falls on 109 (215)…he also crossed 8000 FC runs in this innings

It appears that I may have jinxed him

Jamaican Scorpions 326/8 in the 96th over

The Windwards have been bowled out for 358

Jahmar Hamilton 81 (154), Karima Gore 59 (126), Rahkeem Cornwall 49 (42)

For the Academy team, Joshua Bishop snatched 7 for 85 with his SLAs

Kemol Savory, our skipper/keeper, is leading from the front with a superb half-century so far— 61 (79)
Another good keeper-batsmen for our test setup

The pair of Kevlon Anderson (87*) and Kemol Savory (95*) have ended the day unbeaten...their 4th wicket partnership is currently 179* and takes the defending champs to within 32 runs shy of Barbados Pride's 1st innings score of 346.

Savory is approaching his 3rd FC century in only his 21st inning at the FC level, while Kevlon is approaching his 3rd as well in this his 25th inning

And the exciting Jewel Andrew who was dismissed for a golden duck in the first innings in the Leewards vs the Academy team, cracked 57 in 48 balls before falling to Joshua Bishop.

Jewel brought up his fifty in 37 balls @Beamer -- Intent from Windies batsmen.

Over at the Scorpions game...Kirk McKenzie who made a 12-ball duck ONE in the first innings is currently batting on 36 (55)

I'm gonna post the scores of all the guys who went to the Chennai Super Kings academy in Chennai a few weeks ago...

Jewel Andrew, Kirk McKenzie, Teddy Bishop, Kevin Wickham, Matthew Nandu, Jordan Johnson, and Ackeem Auguste

3. Matthew Nandu (GHE)- 36 (54)
4. Kirk McKenzie (JS)- 1 (12) & 36* (55)
5. Teddy Bishop (WIA)- 8 (20)
6. Ackeem Auguste (WIA)- 4 (7)
7. Jordan Johnson- ABSENT

It’s gonna be an interesting day 3…Guyana will look to get a lead over 100 and hopefully shot out the Bajans for cheap.

I’m looking forward to see how Richie Looknauth (this is his FC debut) does with the bat as he is considered to be a genuine all rounder. He took four wickets with the ball.

Richie Looknauth- 0 (1)

Barbados have pulled this back a little. 5 wickets down this morning for about 70
Savory was dismissed on 99; Anderson just brought up his century

We made light work of the Bajans in the second innings. Debutant Richie Looknauth, all-rounder, took 5 wickets to go with his 4 in the first innings.

Chasing a mere target of 77 runs, our openers of Tage and Nandu got to there in 28 overs (Grindball).

Wanna see more of Kevlon and Savory...they have the pedigree in them to play test cricket.

Beamer

International Vice-Captain

TBF to Jewel, he was dismissed in the first innings by one which pitched outside leg and then span to hit the top of off. Excellent intent in the second. I love watching him bat.

Kevlon now has nearly 1000 FC runs at an average of 42. If he keeps that up by the end of the tournament, surely he has to be picked? That's Bradmanesque by recent standards.

Jyd Goolie got runs again as well. Hopefully he plays all the matches this year.

I was most excited watching Tamarie Redwood though. 18 year old leggie taking a 7 wicket haul on debut. He was slightly inconsistent, but definitely turns his leggie considerably and has a workable googly

A hundred is still a hundred, regardless of the opposition.
It's good seeing these guys making runs. Batting time is key. We need that.

RE: Kevlon, I've said it before that he reminds me of Carl Hooper. He makes batting look so easy.

I haven't followed Redwood, so I can't say much. Basically, watching the Guyana-Barbados one.
