Angelo reminds me of rohit. Even we across palk strait are suffering from same problem ie underperforming SeniorsThis is going to be DKs last match. Mathews also should retire IMO. It is a sorry sight seeing how unfit he is. In addition Kusal Mendis has to be dropped, at least for the next test series. Let him continue with his white ball heroics.
Nishan Peiris is tripe. Get Ramesh Mendis ASAP. I am not sold on Vandersay too.
At least your young guns are performing. Our ones are trying to match seniors. And in the mean time Chandimal, Prabath Jayasuriya and Fernando try to win the match.Angelo reminds me of rohit. Even we across palk strait are suffering from same problem ie underperforming Seniors
Would love to see sl dish out a proper Turner next match. Sure with smith in decline aussies cant play spinAt least your young guns are performing. Our ones are trying to match seniors. And in the mean time Chandimal, Prabath Jayasuriya and Fernando try to win the match.
Its also just as likely if the pitch spins like mad that the Aussie spinners would run riot also tbf.Would love to see sl dish out a proper Turner next match. Sure with smith in decline aussies cant play spin
Took us a while to get to "it's the selectors fault", I was almost worried we'd miss itThis is going to be DKs last match. Mathews also should retire IMO. It is a sorry sight seeing how unfit he is. Yeah, that's the really sad reality of being a spinner nowadays. Murphy isn't even a T20 gun for hire, or someone who has longevity in that format, necessarily. But he's completely adapted his game (maybe subconsciously as much as anything) to be effective in the short forms. Lyon continuing to be strong and not looking at an immediate retirement probably doesn't help, as well. Hard to be motivated to build your game around flight when you tour the subcontinent once a calendar year or whatever it is, and even then maybe you're not picked. He's probably not playing the 2nd Test?Too quick too flat and does not turn the ball
He's become a BBL and T20 bowler. Darts. That's what all the white ball does to your technique as he's really young. It has completely ruined his development for tests. For him, money wise is in the T20 but I don't see him getting picked again for tests as Kuhnemann is still only 28
So when Lyon finally retires in 2028 or so, Kuhnemann or someone else will need to be picked.
Sri Lanka have zero chance on a flat deck. Their only hope is a proper turner. Narrows the gap between the sidesIts also just as likely if the pitch spins like mad that the Aussie spinners would run riot also tbf.
I don't think it is selector's fault. These players have influence over selectors too. It's their selfishness and poor work ethic. Kusal Mendis should not be any where in the team. **** keeper, **** batsman in test areana. Instead he gets Chandimal moved to 3 (who was averaging 50 at #5), Kamindu moved to 5 and settles in 7, and still fails. With such a bunch, a drubbing is well deserving.Took us a while to get to "it's the selectors fault", I was almost worried we'd miss it
With the seam attack Australia is fielding, we may have better chance with a track with little bit of grass, not much, just a bit, but doesn't bounce much. Perfect for SL seamers who like to hit the pads.Sri Lanka have zero chance on a flat deck. Their only hope is a proper turner. Narrows the gap between the sides
Probably not wrong, but it'd be a perfect set up for Boland to take 10/60With the seam attack Australia is fielding, we may have better chance with a track with little bit of grass, not much, just a bit, but doesn't bounce much. Perfect for SL seamers who like to hit the pads.
Scott Boland. He's basically the closest version we have to Mcgrath in those conditionsAustralia’s seam attack appears to cover for quite a few conditions, even though there aren’t many here and one of them is Abbott.
We had a bloke on here recently say Green would never play again. You should debate him.Cam green now apparently fit to bat shortly. Way ahead of schedule.
Its fair to say, Australians middle order batting stocks are the highest they've ever been since the early 2000s. Inglis, Webster, Green and so on. Greens last knock was 174* against NZ
Bowling though as an all rounder. He's being viewed as a batter only at this stage. We had a bloke on here recently say Green would never play again. You should debate him.
