Which team would win

International 12th Man
How the **** you guys be certain on Viv and Sobers dominating Warne but literal Bradman not doing Great!???
Dude plz read my post fully. Don is one and only goat. He would truly decimate any attack. Was just saying if he like viv or sachin got to play across world against atg bowlers would have averaged below 99.94 maybe 85

Yes. Plz come to the main point if replace don with punter how do you think series would go
Either way. WI have an advantage of Sobers being the 5th bowler and a stronger MO (and slightly pace); while Australia have the better openers, keeper and ofcourse Warne. It could go either way depending on the Day.

Most interesting would be leeds. A truly netural venue
I think Kolkata is the wrong venue here really. Ofcourse (proudly) the Greatest stadium in SC, but think something more of a natural turner akin to Chennai would be better. Kolkata is hardly a proper turner ever. Infact I would argue it's more favourable to pacers, especially in the first 2 days.

Ok then just pick murali because he averaged 19 vs WI. By your logic that obviously means he'd destroy the ATG WI team right ?
And it's not logic it's an educated guess. Warne was moderately successful vs the decent WI lineup he faced only really doing great in the very last series he faced them. And Murali is completely irrelevant because A. He's not Australian and B. he got taken apart away vs the two atg lineups he faced.

Cricket discussion, so kudos for opinions, but really, the best you can extrapolate on what wasn't is averages. Batsman will average 2/3 regular. Bowlers will average 3/2 regular. For each player who is an anomaly in one team there will be a matching player from the other.

Ergo Australia win. But yeah, ripping series and it's not 5-0, though McGrath will say so.

I think an AT Aus team beats any and all AT XIs from everywhere and that holds here as well, even though I'm not entirely sold on the XI which has been selected. I'd have Simpson as one of the openers (probably over Hayden) and potentially Lawry for the other, though not as definitively. I'd have Davo over Miller at eight and TOTAB over Chappell, who was a great player but picked and chose his tours a bit too much for mine. For the Indian match I'd bring in O'Reilly for Lillee.

The series is meant to be played across five different countries and Border's away record is flat out ridiculous tbh. He and Smith in the middle order is an awesome line up for away conditions. Add Bradman and Gilchrist and there's really no point any other side bothering to take the park against them. Waugh at six I could kind of take or leave. There's a few contenders for his spot, whether batsmen or A/Rs.

Did anyone actually say that? I know I didn’t
I'm saying it tbh.

I would be surprised if any other AT side took a match off an Aus one, primarily because of Bradman. But with Gilchrist at seven, and either Davo or Miller at eight they bat awfully deep. Warne and O'Reilly (if they play two spinners) means they have pretty much every contingency covered, conditions-wise as well. That WI side is a greeat one though, and fmd I'd love to watch it play.

Given Trumper is nominated as the Oz opener, I have concerns. Trumper wasn't at his best when opening and, if exposed to modern day quicks, he'd struggle. This would mean the Don is then exposed to a new ball and a genuine pace battery. I'm not saying he'd fail, but he might be reduced to a mere mortal.
I agree with @Burgey about a Simpson/Lawry pairing being a better opening pair.

6-7 year career vs 15 year career

According to this logic, Bumrah is the best fast bowler of all time already. Number of years doesn't matter. Don't have to prove yourself over time, outside of peak or against evolving batters, evolving techniques & tactics. Very nice
He had quite the substantial first class career as well.
