I don't know.does he rate Viv?
But any argument that places Smith 4th best of all time is kinda flawed IMHO.
We love to put his numbers up against Sachin, but what are they compared to Punter?

he'll probably fail next match tbh, Lanka would make a complete rank turner49.88 , it will be 50+ in the next match.
Smith at #4 doesn't make sense but I just let Smith keep validating it, even after two tons in the recent BGT he still only managed a 34 average, he's just not there anymore and will likely retire averaging 53-54 where people would rate him more reasonablyI don't know.

Yeah, I disagree with Smith and would replace Hobbs with Hutton, but that's basically it.Solid
Only stigma in root career is lack of success in Australia (particularly since english public care more about it) and lack of big series overseas a bit like sachin(sachin did have 2007/8 bgt and 2010/1 in south africa but unfortunately they are not rated) like smith had in india 17 and england 19It is interesting to me how Root averages higher or equal against every opponent bar each other's teams and windies (and Root has played a better windies, with Dukes), perhaps Smith is not as dominant on this generation as people often presume.
Don't understand the question.Who all?
Ashes 2025 is very big for his legacyOnly stigma in root career is lack of success in Australia (particularly since english public care more about it) and lack of big series overseas a bit like sachin(sachin did have 2007/8 bgt and 2010/1 in south africa but unfortunately they are not rated) like smith had in india 17 and england 19
There's an entire video on wicket keepers and be isn't mentioned once.He highly rates Andy flower as a wkt keeper batter.
Yes and hope he does wellAshes 2025 is very big for his legacy
He literally mentions Flower as a better keeper than Gilchrist in his Left handed XI videoThere's an entire video on wicket keepers and be isn't mentioned once.
We will see how they performs in next ashes, i feel Smith will get another peak.It is interesting to me how Root averages higher or equal against every opponent bar each other's teams and windies (and Root has played a better windies, with Dukes), perhaps Smith is not as dominant on this generation as people often presume.
awfully unlikely, you're setting yourself up for dissapointment thereWe will see how they performs in next ashes, i feel Smith will get another peak.
Mr KimberHe literally mentions Flower as a better keeper than Gilchrist in his Left handed XI video
No we didn't.Didn't we just talk about how the majority attacks weren't really strong?? None atleast close to what SA was in that period.
actually Root is 45 while Smith is 50 in India, only two away batters to average 40+ in last decade in India with any meaningful sample size afaik. Both smith and root average 50 in india. But many indian fans in this fourm including myself rate smith better because he dominated on turning pitches against two great spinners at peak at their own home. I remember that series was so close because of smith. While root has consistently scored in india( double century vs bumrah and ashwin) except last tour he never give me fear the way smith does
If he does you are NostradamusWe will see how they performs in next ashes, i feel Smith will get another peak.
No. I said he rates Flower very highly as a wicket-keeper batter.Flower played at number 5. Not sure if anyone will pick him over Sobers, Viv or Smith.
He will play some matches against some weak teams like west indies, bangladesh, so i can dream ..awfully unlikely, you're setting yourself up for dissapointment there
Not saying he's not good, but nothing about him screams out ATG when I watch him.Really? Root feels like someone who checks all the boxes for your rating personally, dominant when on top, very capable on tough wickets and has been the best Batsmen in the world by a country mile for quite some time now
