He wasn't. Astute observation.Okay he dominated Steyn so what?
Was he playing all the matches against Steyn from 2007-2010?
He was just joking tbf.Almost as embarrassing to read this as Naranyana’s posts.
Oh now facebook. Quality.Wow i love Such pitches, okay
This should end this debate -
Ps- sachin only played once in wi against 90s wi and scored 289 runs,
And sl is stong in current era, as Australia is struggling to win in sl since 10+ years.
And i should respect him as he is one of the greatest ever .

1908-1924 : Jack Hobbs

1949-1955: Sir Len Hutton
1956-1957: Peter May

1996-2001: Sachin Tendulkar
2002-2006: Brian Lara
2007-2011: Sachin Tendulkar
2012-2013: Hashim Amla

1986-90 should be Crowe, imo.1912-28: Hobbs

1930-49: Bradman
1949-55: Hutton
1955-60: May

1970-76: Barry Richards
1976-90: Viv Richards
1990-94: Gooch
1994-95: Lara
That's Simon Wilde's take, for the years subsequent, I'm not sure if Amla needs to squeezed in there. Also not sure from all I've read on Sutcliffe that he was really seen as the best during those years.
This is what I don't get about you. That's includes his ace tour in Aus in 2007. Of course he was helped by pitches but for a post peak period this was genuinely productive.
Anyways it shouldnt be looked at this way.
It was 2003 to 2006/7 decline with injuries. 2007/8 to 2011 new peak that was ATG. Then 2011 to 2013 end career dip.
Not the worst argument you've made. Why does almost every single batters entered their peaks during the 2007-2011 period?
Is it because they were as good as Sachin or.....?
Nobody calls lara's post 2000 batting bashing. He averaged 50 in 90s and thats enough to say his atg. This is what I don't get about you.
When it's Sachin it's a 2nd peak, when it's Lara it's post 2000's bashing. Same for Kallis, he was just flat track bashing.
Not the worst argument you've made.
Agree.Viv 1976-1981 ~ Sachin 93-2002
Viv 82-88 ~ Sachin 2002-2011
Viv 89-91 ~ Sachin 2012-2013
for me
No arguments here either.Prime Viv's runs are more quality (I count WSC) but Sachin's volume is more, go with whatever you want.
Really? He was poor away from home, if not for 00 era batting his average would have been similar to Kane Williamson away record.Nobody calls lara's post 2000 batting bashing. He averaged 50 in 90s and thats enough to say his atg.
Why are u coming so hard at Sachin?Okay, do the same for Sachin as well.
Sachin fan's are trolling my man Smudge, so..Why are u coming so hard at Sachin?
How is it not close? Not even close
Viv(82-88) : 57 Tests. 3591 runs @ 46.9. 10 centuries
SRT(02-11) : 96 Tests. 7869 runs @ 54.27. 24 centuries.
Exc Zim/Ban : 90 Tests. 7067 runs @ 50.47. 19 tons.
When did I dismiss 2001 to 2006 for Lara entirely as post 2000s bashing? I just said at home pitches were flatter, which I also said directly to you about Tendulkar. I called it Lara's second peak many many times. This is what I don't get about you.
When it's Sachin it's a 2nd peak, when it's Lara it's post 2000's bashing. Same for Kallis, he was just flat track bashing.
Not the worst argument you've made.
Tendulkar was better by virtue of having another peak from 2007/8 to early 2011 where he rose in rankings to become no.1 in the world again. Viv by mid 80s was no.1 in name not really runs or rankings. Yes even with flat pitches Tendulkar still averaged 60 odd then. How is it not close?
This is where context comes in.
One was a flat pitch era where everyone was cashing in, the other was the heart of the 80's with multiple ATG bowlers and no free lunches.
Viv did had some eyes issues iircTendulkar was better by virtue of having another peak from 2007/8 to early 2011 where he rose in rankings to become no.1 in the world again. Viv by mid 80s was no.1 in name not really runs or rankings. Yes even with flat pitches Tendulkar still averaged 60 odd then.
And Tendulkars decline 2003 to 2006/7 was mostly injuries, not just losing his mojo like Viv.
