After being 8 down, England added 44 runs in 4 overs. India after being 4 down, added 77 runs in 12 overs. This Indian batting line-up has lot of explosiveness but lacks experience of playing situations and winning from semi-challenging positions. Even in the second match they faltered and only narrowly won the game when they could have cruised to it. What is a target of 165-175 in today's age.

In the broader context it is a true JAMt20 series. Although having gone to one of the games, I did enjoy it. A fair number of players I have watched live for the first time. Don’t think I had even watched Archer live. Lots of younger Indian players. Maybe Varma might be their new hope in all formats?Does anybody really care about this series?

I confess that I didn’t know many of the players, including him, but I see that he averages 50 after 18 games and surely there are two gaps at least inthe India test match batting lineup. Surely he might be worth a punt sooner rather than later?
