Good to see Verreyene bowling first, lovely figures from Peters, Pretorius, Rogers. To keep JSK to 99/9 was a great effort. PC managed the runs in 12 overs. Were you watching Markram?

2 excellent wickets for Peters - Conway and Ali

Nice to see my eyes are fairly accurate judging the pace bowlers in provincial cricket, was calling for Peters to get a look in for that tour to NZ last year because he had pace and wasn't picked up in the SA T20 2023.

My interest has slightly waned as DSG have been utterly terrible for a while. Just some weird selections. You look at that group and wonder how they haven’t competed more.

The whole match ups aspect of T20 cricket is really interesting to me. If a team tries to get to fancy it can really backfire at times. I mean that was the logic of moving QDK to 4 or pushing Mulder up at times.

I have enjoyed how we seem to be developing a bevy of good T20 spin options.

Especially after last season. Thought you could kick on this.

Agreed though. Sometimes it's better to keep things as simple as possible. As Maharaj said, you lost every batting and bowling power play you did 😂

Someone like Brandon King blitzed us in West Indies recently but can't even lay bat on ball here.

Spin good although could do with more wristies. Tahir still got it and better than Shamsi. Noor Ali is a gem.

Pace options decent although been hit hard with injuries.
Think we can be happy ARs situation actually. Still more to do for complete packages maybe?

Pitches have spun and maybe not easy to hit through the line on the coast sometimes. But you still looking for 145-150 minimum. Wanderers on Sunday was moving around just enough through the air so exception on highveld and yesterday I saw no issues with that pitch at Centurion. Maybe some better batting required. AB talking about still allowing yourself to assess situations.

Middle order finishers. Still trying to find the next Miller and Klaasen. There are guys bubbling. Ferreira needs to stamp his authority more. Pat Kruger got injured. Mulder had his moments when actually batting 6/7 in the beginning. Potgieter with serious impact. It's why I love domestic cricket to see the future stars or who who is closest to pushing.

Ferreira is one of those blokes who doesn’t look all that fancy and might not come off all the time but he is a high value T20 player. We have long made the mistake of picking our traditionally best players to play T20. Sometimes you need a hacky batter who can sneak in 2 overs of darts and field anywhere!

Still trying to come to terms with it 😂

is Root playing well?
Been excellent. Paarl is the perfect home pitch as well for him. Spin dominant & it's not necessarily about clearing the ropes all the time.

Along with Dave Miller & Dinesh Karthik, they have been a calming presence that has contributed to 3 younger batsman 'flourishing' around them in Lhuandre Pretorius, Rubin Hermann & Mitch van Buuren.

Very good to hear that his white ball skill hasn't completely faded.

Hoping SEC and PC make the top 4 for qualificaton.
Didn't realise Jansen, Pretorius and Peters played for the Northerns.

Bet that MICT will win the toss and bowl first and get early wickets

10 matches where teams have earnt a bonus point so far so those were clearly one sided pastings. Appears a few teams are doing very well at home but not so much away. And it's not been flat at all.
