chanderpaul captained like he didn't realise he'd been made captain.
Dhony 2008 to 2011 SA very good. Poor after that.Yeah I don't get the Dhoni hate.
His captaincy was a bit before my time but I always see negative reviews. Too defensive and lacking positive body language?I'll be the resident chanderpaul hater again. He was a rotten captain.
He was one of those guys who put people where the ball went the previous delivery. His captaincy was a bit before my time but I always see negative reviews. Too defensive and lacking positive body language?
Chanderpaul always seemed very introverted and self-absorbed. And when captaincy is out of your comfort zone, you're less likely to have confidence in your own ideas so then it becomes reactionary and muddled. He was one of those guys who put people where the ball went the previous delivery.
Terrible captain without any game plan and initiative
He was indeed. Not good with communicating. He didn’t attend high school.Chanderpaul always seemed very introverted and self-absorbed. And when captaincy is out of your comfort zone, you're less likely to have confidence in your own ideas so then it becomes reactionary and muddled.
I suspect he had a good cricketing brain but captaincy was just too far outside his comfort zone for it to translate. He was indeed. Not good with communicating. He didn’t attend high school.
But having the love for the game should clearly have helped with his cricketing brain.
Later on in life, he’s now a coach and from what I hear, a pretty good one.
Yep, some people are born to be captains, whereas some are not.I suspect he had a good cricketing brain but captaincy was just too far outside his comfort zone for it to translate.
