Sure, but that year is better than any Smith year, plus Smith's quality all also comes from two serieses, if he never haf those, I doubt people would consider him even an ATG, so it's not like it's Viv alone who relies on a small body of work.

1) Pune 3rd inns ton on a minefield but after 4 dropped catches. Luck-ridden innings.

2) Ranchi 1st inns ton was on a high scoring road, ending in a draw.

3) Dharmashala 1st inns ton on a good pitch, though conditions unlike typical SC.

SC conditions get harder as the match progresses. Easiest on Day 1. Two of the three hundreds were on day 1 itself. While the third ton was significantly luck ridden and Aus had an unassailable lead.

It was still WI v Aus. It was not franchise crap.

ICC should have included it as part of Test Cricket. Just sour grapes to ignore those stats completely. It was still INTERNATIONAL test cricket. One cricketing nation against another.
