I believe that Afridi should be in the Pakistani XI, but not as an opener. Fakhar should be there. Razzaq can be replaced with Afridi.

Razzaq was a good match winner no one will loose him for Afridi, in ODI we need to have atleast 6 Bowlers.

Batting has become little weak but their Bowlers are Stronger than any other Team to defend even the lowest total. Zaheer Abbas can come at No 4 and Saqlain at No 9.

Could add Inzamam in place of Akhtar, but couldn't figure out the batting order.

Just add Razzaq for Akhtar, you get best of both Worlds. I think Rizwan will do good as an opener, not like it's a Test like specific job. Or you can have Babar opening, Abbas at 3, Miandad at 4 and Rizwan at 5 with a floating 6-8 of Afridi, Imran and Razzaq

Afridi’s was an Opener for 145 Innings more experienced than Rizwan or Babar as Opener. If Afridi gets out early you still have 8 more Batsman to come with a Powerful Middle Order.

Shahid Afridi is a good pick for lower order batsman in a Pakistan all time great team.

Afridi works better for me as a late order basher (which neither Imran nor Razzaq was) than an opener who will give me meagre returns. He opened and his output was hardly different from down the order. That output is acceptable only in the lower order, not the top, for me in an ATG scenario.
He also scored 3543 Runs @24.43 Runs per In Innings with 3 Centuries

Yeah if you want Shoaib, atleast have a proper batsman for Afridi. Yousuf or Misbah could work, or Zaman as an opener.
They can shuffle based on Match Conditions. But I placed him as Opener because no other player has much experience to open the innings.
