It is not entirely wrong to say Smith is the best since Bradman.

There is a chance he can end up as the best since Bradman.

Sachin played majority of matches against minnows. Like Williamson.

1713 runs @51.9; 8 100's.

vs WI in WI (excluding the 2000's):-

289 runs @57.8

I do not think both these things are a big deal and considering his longevity he is the best since Don

1991 tours - all those bowlers had worse record in Aus pitches than Mitchell starc (26 AVG)
Only tour against wi- in 1997/98 -poor old man Walsh averaged 70+ , poor old man Ambrose averaged 30+ , and retired soon after.

Both of those things have caveats too, Sachin's 10/12 yr peak from 93-04 is comparable/arguably better to both Viv's and Smith's. He just doesn't 3-4 consecutive big years as they do. His are more spread out.
Sachin not having a big big series can be a small issue but he just didn't play enough big series of 4/5 matches. He did go big on multiple instances, for ex 2007/08 BGT in Australia where he scored 490+ runs and was given out wrongly twice. He also scored 400+ runs in a 2 match bgt series once as well.
