I was just thinking to myself, there should be a documentary on the life and times of Glenn Maxwell, and why he didn't go close to fulfilling his immense potential. He probably should have had something resembling AB's career, but didn't really get close...no doubt for a number of reasons
he had several years of underperformance- Maxwell. however not an under performer in terms of trophys- he has 3 world cups to his name including a T20. world cup, however in terms of statistics and overall performance he generally has been inconsistent in ODIs and T20s at international level.

Yeah I mean it's just a ridiculous career to break down. I actually didn't know until now that he hadn't played a single Test outside the sub continent. But I can't think of many, outside AB, who had his ridiculous ball striking talent that wasn't maximised for selection, management, and personal reasons.

Yeah, that seems hard to believe. First class average of ~39 also seems low for someone with his freakish ability.

one of the many funny things about maxwell's test career is that they called him over to SA after Sandpaper-gate and had him sit on the bench anyway
