2025 Ranking of All Rounders Poll

That's interesting: cricinfo has him as bowling an 8-run over that Howstat lacks. I wonder how and where that discrepancy crept in.
I found it. Luckily it was 2nd innings of his first test. Howstat has him bowling 11 overs for 3/28. Match scorecard has him bowling 12 overs for 3/36. So Oram's bowling average confirmed as 33.05 😀

Take away that innings and he barely averages 20 in Tests.
That's like saying, "take away Viv's 1976, and he barely averages 45". Akram scored those runs, taking them away makes no sense. If minnow bashing is the problem here, Hammond averages 45 vs Australia, the only nation back then with a strong batting lineup of completely Test standard players.

Fair comment. I never regarded Akram's batting average (22.64) as being indicative of an all rounder anyway. The innings I mention (v Zimbabwe) is "Gillespiesque".

Fair. I just think Wasim and Hammond have very comparable secondary skills, equal imho. Wasim has 2 more Test centuries (1 against Australia) and plenty of 50s as well. Don't think his Test batting record is much poorer than Davidson

Well as you got 24 voters on that question, it appears as if it is worth continuing!
