***Official*** West Indies Tour of Pakistan- TEST SERIES- Jan 16 to 28, 2025

Surely roads would favour Pakistan. Surprised they look like they might be preparing pitches similar to the ones they beat England on, given the team selection. West Indies' vulnerabilities very different to England's
as poor as england were their batting lineup is light years ahead of the west indies. the west indies vulnerabilities with the bat, are any bowler who is test standard.

if we get those rank turners again i expect them to get spun out for double figures at some point.

Yes of course, but a rank turner brings Motie into the game to the point where if you can streak your way to 200, that might be enough. Much easier prospect for your batting than matching 450 on a road.

as an aside i think warrican will be more a threat. he is less talented than motie but he is more accurate. his whole mo is drop the ball on a good line/length and wait for the natural variation. on the kind of wickets served up for england, SLAs with this mo can be lethal.

It would probably need Athanaze and Hodge to 'bazball' it a bit to stand any chance on a turner. I don't think the Windies have the batting to do it, but then again, it is Pakistan and they're as capable of collapsing just as much as the West Indies.

Pakistan’s XI for the first test has been named:

1. Shan Masood *
2. Mohammad Huraira
3. Babar Azam
4. Kamran Ghulam
5. Saud Shakeel
6. Mohammad Rizwan +
7. Salman Ali Agha
8. Sajid Khan
9. Noman Ali
10. Khurram Shahzad
11. Abrar Ahmed

Now, here's Windies XI:

1. Kraigg Brathwaite *
2. Mikyle Louis
3. Keacy Carty
4. Kavem Hodge
5. Alick Athanaze
6. Justin Greaves
7. Tevin Imlach
8. Kevin Sinclair
9. Gudakesh Motie
10. Jomel Warrican
11. Amir Jangoo
12. Jayden Seales

This is the 12 that Windies have provided...JDS is dropped...Roach is injured, and Anderson Phillip unlikey to get picked on this wicket...

And they have confirmed a debut for Imlach...I think Jangoo gets a debut as well and he'll take the gloves (because he's the best gloveman in the region)

KC will have to make way...
