The extra ODI means only 1 day off after the Test if it goes the distance. Good thing there are 9 non-test squad players in the ODI squad, as well as Inglis likely not playing the Test.

Starc should rest for sure with Cummins, Hazlewood and Ellis fresh so that just leaves one of Labuschagne, Smith, Head or Carey to play the 1st ODI (or maybe just tag Abbott to play the one ODI and give all the Test players a rest)

They've added an extra ODI. 2 Tests and 2 ODIs

Still quite a reduction from back in the day. late 90s-early 2010s it was generally 3 Tests & 5 ODIs (was even a Tri Series in 1999)
It’s been two tests for a long time though hasn’t it

"Matthew Kuhnemann is in serious doubt for the two-Test tour of Sri Lanka after the recalled spinner hurt his thumb playing for the Brisbane Heat"

Pretty bad injury apparently. If he's out I think that pretty much ensures a Connolly debut (and likely call up for Rocchiccioli)

Should be Roc the old scamp, but we'll get to see the Bangalow State XI finally get their first rep at test level.

Proud moment for such a small state.
