Sachin Lara and Waugh is an upgrade on Smith Kohli and Root, Williamson better than Aravinda but doesn't nearly cover the gap

Second thought bowling attack of A is probably too strong. Replace Broad for say Cummins or Rabada, and I think the second side is definitely more than competitive. Broad seems the one obvious one to attack though, in the current lineup.

I would say the overall battings are equalish, will probably give the edge to B for ABD; but A's bowling blows B way out of the water. I know both did not do anything in the 2010s, but had Cummins and Bumrah were in B for the English pair (especially one for Broad); it would had been much closer.

Williamson would surely be the captain ahead of Kohli. Smith too if not for sandpaper.

Team A:
Saeed Anwar for Slater and Healy for Stewart. Possibly Andy Flower or Mark Waugh for Aravinda.

Another option would be Steve Waugh 5, Flower 6 & wk, Cairns 7 and replace Aravinda and Stewart, but with that attack an all-rounder isn't really needed.

Team B:
As bowling is much weaker than Team A, the team needs another decent option. Root was the worst of the Fab 4 in the 2010s (although has been outstanding in the 2020s), so I'd replace him with Shakib who'd bat 7. Also Philander for Broad.
