I would agree to that, but as I said, the consensus is largely due to their playing styles. Roberts was rated by many over Marshall, as was Holding and Garner by quite a few, especially before the 90s.
By many? By 1.

And now I see you're just making us stuff.

No? Tendulkar was the best in the world in the late 90s/ early 2000s before the flat track era and then again from 2008-2011 or so. His worst slump actually came right in the very middle of the road era in 03-06.
When people talk about Tendulkar as the best no one is thinking of the 2000s road era version.
No argument, as I said earlier, Sachin and Lara's legacies were built in the 1990's and very early 2000's. Same as Hobbs where his ranking is based on his work prior to the war.

Roberts was older so people remember impact because nostalgia.

True. But Holding was showmanship moreso and Roberts also had plenty to do with that too. Also think how many people rated Compton over Hutton or Wasim over McGrath; showmanship had plenty to do with that

Let me rephrase it, the quality of bowler Lee was he would need 400 wickets to beat Akhtar. Availability is a huge factor, but hardly matters if you are mid when available.
Yeah we can disgaree.

If you saw the problem of Bumrah breaking down in this Sydney test and what it did for India, you will understand that this happened to Pakistan and Shoaib virtually every second series, assuming Shoaib would even appear.

It's a huge problem, but say, would you really swap Bumrah for any bowler ever in this series??
