Injured. What's officially going on with Bumrah?
I actually looked it up once - I think his average went to like 42 or something if you excluded Australia. Better than 37.Atherton was an ATG opener who had his stats ruined by McGrath.
What did Smith average this series? Anyone have the stats?its pretty average. he has peaked his career - several years ago. if he fails in SL then hes under pressure to get picked for the Ashes. He doesnt play spin well at all nowadays. issue is there is no one in the Shield cricket banging down the door to replace these guys, Aus bound to fall down the rankings with Eng and SAF likely to the top of the rankings in the next several years - SAF have a lot of youngsters coming up and Eng as well.
Re here, its game on 91 runs is quite a lot on this track, 7 wickets but a lot of tail enders/lower order players.
Back spasm or some other back problem not specified. He has had a lot of problems with his back before including surgeries that kept him out for a very long time, so I think if there is any indication at all, they will not let him bowl. What's officially going on with Bumrah?
Nah, drop Smith and leave him on all the 9sIf India win Marnus should be dropped. Damien Martyn lost six years of his career for less.
Father time is undefeated.Incredible to think Smith averaged 12-13 more than Williamson just a few years ago, now within 1 run.

Welcome backomg guys
35What did Smith average this series? Anyone have the stats?
Na I think he's got till the end of next year's Ashes at least. Doesn't look like he can't score, unlike Kohli
Smith's final average will not be an indicator of how utterly dominant he was at his peak. He literally had multiple years in a row averaging between 70 and 110.Incredible to think Smith averaged 12-13 more than Williamson just a few years ago, now within 1 run.

Second behind Head.Is Jaiswal the highest run getter for this series?
Reckon sohalba has to have been lobotomised
No batsman ever has a final average indicating how dominant they were at their peak. That's what makes it a peak.Smith's final average will not be an indicator of how utterly dominant he was at his peak. He literally had multiple years in a row averaging between 70 and 110.
This pitch is worse than the 93/94 pitch by milesThis chase is giving vibes of previous failed chases of small targets (like vs SA in 94) except they're determined to do it against worse bowling than in any of those matches.
