As i understand it: simon taufel initially said hawkeye only considers the stumps and not the bails, and so umps call was correctly as per the guidelines. Fair enough then. However, the icc want the bails to be considered, but hawkeye hasn't been adjusted to do so. When adjusted, that umps call becomes out.

Yeah it looks like the ICC changed it in 2021 but no-one noticed/cared to update the actual technology.

Good idea to show the percentage of ball hitting as well but they need to reword it as there will be people who would not interpret it as a statistical figure argue any percentage hitting the stumps/bail should be out.

Hahaha I've joked often that Hawkeye pretends the bails don't exist but I didn't expect it to literally be true, that's embarrassing

If Bumrah is out, it is a major blow. But I wouldn't write off India.

India have an extra reserve of energy against Australia that allows themselves to pick up their performance in ways they don't against other teams like SA and Eng.

I wouldn't discount an outside possibility of a freak wicket taking spree on a worn 4th innings pitch by the rest of the bowlers. Of course advantage Australia. But don't discount India.

I haven't looked at the playing conditions myself but there's a bit of a contradiction here because at one point they say hawkeye is as per the match conditions and at another point they say hawkeye wasnt as per the match conditions (the 2021 thing). So I'm not quite sure whether this is accurate
