Just need one decent partnership tomorrow and we should be able to get a handy lead. Feel like some counterattacking from Head would be well received

We don’t doctor wickets . We make the spinners irrelevant so much that in a 5 match Test series , 3 spinners with nearly 1400 Test wkts don’t have even combined 15 wkts to show .
The wickets have been the same for the last 3 summers.

I don't see us trotting out a draw wicket for the last test because we're ahead. Maybe I'm mistaken. Is that what you are seeing?

Do you need to make another thread where we explain to you what "doctored" means

Or you haven’t produced a drawn wicket because of Rain forecast ?
If I remember last 3 Tests of BG Trophy at SCG all have been drawn games . So , curator wanted a result this time .

konstas is just emulating his hero kohli who used to sledge fast bowlers when ashwin was batting all the time

I dunno what to make of today's play. There have been a couple of days I felt could be series defining. One was day 3 at MCG and we did great then. Then it was day 5 and we squandared a rather straight forward draw. Now it seems there is such a day again tomorrow.

At the start of this series, and even during Brisbane, I felt this team does not have the fighting spirit of the earlier Indian teams we have seen since the Ganguly era (The 2011 and 2014 touring sides aside). But they have shown they do have the fight in them and I do think there is enough talent or ability there to create a winning team. Yet somehow something seems off. The low grade captaincy was definitely a spoiler, and also the fact that there seems to be no plan B for anyone in the side, whether its with the bat or with the ball or on the field. I always think esp. in modern cricket, captain-coach is a bit of a combo deal. I remember Cummins not getting along with Langer. I would like to see how Gambhir goes without Rohit, Ashwin, Virat and maybe even Jaddu around as a coach across formats.

PS - That Washy decision again shows the idiotic inconistencie with these decisions. There are 3 decisions all given applying rules inconsistently and yet India are somehow on the bad end of the deal each time. TBF Jaiswal was definitely out, but the other two were not AFAIC.

Look, I will forever be against the fan army idiocy that levels honestly baseless charges about Virat.

For me, he has been our best test captain in my time of seeing the game. He is a wonderful team man and a guy who has stood up for good things in the game a LOT of times. He has failed as a batsman in the last 5 years. 2023 seemed to promise a return to his best but it has ended up being a mirage. I did not think he should have been selected for this game on merit. His controversies during this series have honestly not been the "typical Virat" as, funnily enough, both his fans and his haters seem to think. It feels like he has other things on his mind and is not always switched on. Its time to move on, as sad as it is. And its unfortunate that an almost guaranteed ATG career has petered out a merely great one. But it is what it is. He really should not be in Indian sides going forward. I know CT is seen as some last hurrah for both these guys and meh, I am kinda fine with it, but I dont see why either Rohit or Virat should be part of any Indian side going forward.

God I hope he proves me wrong and makes me taste it in this game somehow by winning us the game, but I feel I should also "opt out" of dreaming these improbable things and then get angry at the players when it does not happen. :(

Banging on about umpiring decisions going against you when the Kohli dismisal was out is interesting

You just produced the greenest wicket ever seen in Australia knowing full well india are shite on them.....

when an Asian team does things like that Aussies turn into border line racists
Levels of stupidity to unpack here

Firstly, in no way does a green wicket help Australia. Even ignoring the series situation a green wicket just brings India's seam bowlers into it as much as Australia's and Aus batsmen aren't exactly great against the moving ball. If Australia wanted to doctor a wicket to suit them it wouldn't be green or seaming, it would be flat, hard and bouncy.

Secondly, look at the series scoreline . . . all Australia need is a draw. Why the **** would making a green seamer help them? If they were going to doctor a wicket it would be the roadiest road that ever existed to try and ensure a draw
