Eh, I dunno. Elite athletes and their egos are a funny thing. There was a great interview with Reggie Miller in Netflix's The Last Dance documentary series, where he talks about the first game he ever played against Michael Jordan. At half time Jordan had scored sfa and Miller started mouthing "You're supposed to be THE Michael Jordan?" Jordan fixed him with a look, scored 40 second half points and walked up to Miller after the game and said "Don't ever talk trash to black Jesus." I think it would be to Australia's benefit if someone plays Konstas that clip before play starts tomorrow.

The fact that Bumrah specifically went up and looked at Konstas instead of celebrating, shows that the interaction before had clearly gotten something stirring in Bumrah.

I think he got close enough without going too far. Didn't say anything to Konstas, just let him know he's in the big leagues and he's a p**sant in the game rightnow. 1 streaky 50 and the guy thinks he's going to be the next test star

Was just about to say the same thing.

India will whoop it up if they win this, but in reality they should look in the mirror and be ashamed of themselves. They have a chance because our curators simply prepared a wicket. They weren't instructed to prepare a certain pitch based on the other team's weaknesses/the series situation.

It's the way it should be.
