2024–25 NZ domestic season

Good from Shipley, as a guy who iirc got pummeled every time he bowled in white ball cricket prior to his injury break.
Bowled a couple of really nasty looking ones that reared from a good length. This Canterbury attack looks stronger than the one that turned out for NZ earlier in the week.

Some decent pace-off balls too. There can be a role in T20I for someone who hits a hard length and has an easy action that lets him watch the batter until the last moment and maybe roll the fingers etc. Thinking of Josh Hazelwood.

Interesting how much O'Rourke got smashed though, shows what a different skill set this is from test/FC cricket.

A hint of saffer in Jacobs' accent (presumably picked up from his parents as he's been here since he was a kid). Kippax tested and approved.
Is he a god botherer? If not, I don’t think he would get the Kippax approval, as I recall.

Gotta hope neither has broken a bone in the arms they were holding, and have to assume Dixit concussed.

Why didn't Aces replace Dixit with Perera? Commentary says replacements Keene and Olliver (seamers) can't bowl. But I thought Dixit bowled some occasional SLA. And commentary said Perera in ground.

Nope, no concussion sub. Canterbury should surely win with Auckland down two bowlers.

Edit: thought Dixit bowled too but apparently not

Looks like they've just done that, but they're only fielding subs so can't bowl anyway.
