2024–25 NZ domestic season

Had a thought the other day that Brett Randall is the most Philander/Asif-like bowler in NZ. No pace but very accurate and nibbles the ball around. Hope he stays fit.

I wonder if he'd benefit from straightening his run-up and delivering from really close to the stumps, like those bowlers (or Hadlee) though.

On the app or browser? I can't use the app on my vpn but can watch on browser on my PC or on tablet using desktop mode.
Interesting, I'll have to try again when I get home. Had been using the desktop browser and it didn't work. Might be my vpn

Disappointed that work will stop me from watching Ellyse Perry's Super Smash debut this afternoon. Will try to catch a replay later.

I whinged a while ago on this thread about how there was a 15 day gap of no men's domestics, from end of PS round to start of SS.

Tom Bruce on mic yesterday . Said it had been 3 weeks for them without cricket for CD. Because although SS started on boxing day, it is a weird slow start until Jan. Only 4 games in that boxing day to NY period. Then it will be 1 match per day for all of Jan.

They didn't schedule any SS on the days there was also a blackcaps T20I. Presumably a tv cameras, outside broadcast, and 3rd umpire kit capacity restriction.

Otago frontloaded with 3 home games at Alexandra. Others have barely played.

They did last season on days with T20s. They did avoid ODI days, I think.

A really close Brave vs Blaze game. Almost chasing down a target that was too high in the first place is really good. If the Brave can do that against the other teams, they can definitely make a run for the Finals again.

meta these days for wobble ball bowlers is to generally come wide of the stumps since then it's harder for the batsman to judge line. Bowling tight to the stumps was almost purely because pre-DRS it was hard to get LBWs wide of the crease
