(tbh, Trumper is just way ahead. Pretty sure Gooch wouldn't be able to score in 1890's and early 1900's wet pitches. And the fact that average in the matches Gooch played in is low just shows that the batters were arse, instead of the pitch condition. But I'm still gonna say, Gooch>Tendulkar)

(it's moreso a display of how good the bowling he constantly was facing, plus Trumper's record is full of holes, I'm pretty confident that it was his style of play and clutch knocks that got him rated so high)

Howstat does have a page for comparing the last two years of a player’s career with the rest of their career, but obviously Kohli’s been in decline longer than that, and his past 2 years he had some successes which push his record closer in that period.

Yeah, almost everyone wants him out of the team by now. We still got somewhat exited after his ton in the 1st Test, but now; yesh..... Good luck with whatever you want to do post retirement. Especially the way he gets out while trying to drive pacers outside the 5th stump, over and over again, is such pathetic **** for a player who looked a sure shot Test ATG at one point in time.
