In future there should be no place for mentally weak players in the side however technically good they are or how prolific they are in the domestic circuit. Cricket is not about technicality or just talent but about GRIT AND RESILIENCE. Look at Cummins, Lyon or any other Australian blood . And that's what India lacks over decades. We have witnessed it in 2023 ODI world cup finals. Remember Zaheer Khan's atrocious wide first over in the 2003 World Cup final that set the tone of the game with his visible fear and mental fragility. Mentally unfit cricketers who fail time and again in crunch situations are the biggest bane of Indian Cricket. That's why India don't win any major tournaments

Its fair to say, after the abject NZ series and this one, both Kohlis and Rohits career is on the line in Sydney. Both failed again this test match. Rohit is the worst player this test series. Atleast mitchell marsh got some runs and wickets in Perth. Rohit played 3 tests and did nothing in all 3 tests.

Gill and Sundar will likely replace them, with an extra bowler like Shami when he returns. KL moves back to opener position- why was he even moved down? He hit big in Perth and Brisbane up top.

Washi moves up the order to #4 as he is a batsman thru and thru. Pant at #5, and Jadeja as your no. 6, with Reddy at no.7 for some lower order hitting.
