**Official** 4th Test at Melbourne, 26-30 Dec 2024

King Kane

International Regular
Beau Webster should get ready for a test debut in Sydney, being a good bloke in the dressing room surely can't save Mitch Marsh for another test.

Especially if the Aussies lose this test, heads will need to roll.

I sincerely think Marsh playing four games this series is the worst selection decision I've seen by an Australian selection panel and that includes scorchers like Xavier Doherty, Michael Beer, and Cameron White as specialist spinner. It's completely ****ed up the entire balance of the team to have a black hole in the lynchpin spot of the entire team.

Now can you see why I lost my **** after the Brisbnae Test? I don't think we would've won the Test had we made them follow-on given what happened on Day 5, but I think it gave India the self-belief they needed.

They didn't seem to benefit from that much in the first two days of this game tbh. If you want to point to something that gave them confidence, it was definitely the Reddy/Washington partnership.

The lack of value they seem to put on their wickets is astounding sometimes. Not like they weren't kept out there for ages yesterday by two batsmen doing just that.
I was a bit annoyed about how we handled the 1st innings because I thought 500+ was there for the taking. Then the Day 2 implosion happened and I thought it didn't matter. Now though.....
