Yeah but I'm starting to get MCG 2008 vibes. SA were ridiculously far behind like 300 with 7 down. And then that Steyn/Duminy partnership. I mean if those 2 could make big runs of all people
I can see that, but the lead's even bigger here. To choke Australia out in the third innings India need to get to 550+ here (which I really can't see happening) or an ATG spell from someone. Realistically, India's best shot is a draw.

This Washington's test batting record is so much better than his FC record lol. Must love our flat decks

Always stuns me how keepers stand up to someone bowling 130. Anyone who’s stood up to the stumps will know just how insanely hard it is.
If the wicket isn't too up and down, and they aren't firing it down leg, it's actually easier than you think. Any reasonable edge is obviously 100× harder though.

These two are good batsmen playing well tbh. Aus bowlers haven't looked threatening but they'be deserved their scores

I struggle a lot with the pitched up ones. Tend to flinch and the hands harden. Never really practiced it properly though, just tried it in games.

I think it shows just how valuable Pant and Jadeja are as cricketers, it enables an odd on-paper balance that actually works well for India.

359 (Aus 1st innings score then) is a lot less than 474.
Also Reddy is no Duminy, and SA attack was better, spinners notwithstanding
