He became good at FC and even County level, I think. I meant more like his early development. We were in that phase of our cricket when anyone bowling 140+ was fast tracked to the test side. I definitely think he could have been a lot more had he been allowed a proper pathway led development.

its probably his unusual action causing the injuries/strain. bad idea trying him for 5 tests in a row. better to try to prolong his career.

Shaun was a much better player than his brother but also one of the worst starters ever
He played some high quality test innings in between a lot of single figure scores
agre, Umran wasnt good. the issue with india has always being able to produce pace bowlers. now, they are struggling to produce spinners on par with Ash, and also struggling to produce batters- Gill was their best prospect in FC, but has barely over 30 test average. Jaiswal is vulnerable to the moving delivery but is so far OK and has produced a big knock this series.
A drop down to #4-5 in the test rankings looks likely for India. They got trashed by NZ(who got trashed by ENG) 3-0 in home conditions.

Nah.. he was never consistently that. We just got excited by 145+.
Indias attack is basically comprised of a Malcolm Marshall plus a few guys from state cricket and a spinner that is pointless on these decks..its a very unbalanced attack.
