Goodness why was Marsh persisted with? All the good work undone. He never was test standard

He's almost certain to be dropped for scg , for Webster
Marsh batted well for about two years, which coincided what should have been the absolute peak of his career. And as much as people bang on about Marnus being dropped, Marsh's 86 average against Pakistan last season was helped by some absolute sitters being put down off him.

Well I'm glad he's failed here, at least our xi will be cleaned up by the time of the Ashes.

Rubbish about 2 years. He made his comeback in the Ashes in July last year and batted well until January vs Pakistan so basically batted well for 6 tests in 6 months. Since then he's had 8 tests @ 17.61

In a stronger era of Aust cricket...Marsh wouldn't be getting a game in the Test team.....AT ALL. That alone should tell you how weak Australian cricket has been for the past ten to fifteen years.

The ancient Indian text Bhagvad Gita says of Steve Smith:

'Neither the weapons touch it, nor does fire burn it. Neither the water wets it nor does the wind blow it'

Very weak in Batting mainly. Bowling esp fast bowling always plenty of stock. From guys like Siddle, Hilfy , Ryano, Patto, to Johnson to the current trio plus Boland, always plenty of stock.

Siraj becomes embarrassingly innocuous as his spells wear on
kinda sad how he did so well when he first toured here as an innocent kid with responsibility of leading the attack suddenly thrust on his shoulders. everyone was rooting for him especially given how he was dealing with his dad’s death at the time.

a few years later and he’s bowling pies and public enemy no.1

Whatever it takes!!!
Smith has been sublime today. Just looks unbeatable after that initial spell when Akash had him dancing a little bit. Not having a leg slip then has cost us.
