Woah, toss pretty massive then.Only in Melbourne, supposed to be sunny 40Ā°C tomorrow and then cloudy 22Ā°C on Friday
I don't think I'd want to be bowling day 1
Might be a good toss to lose. Aus beat a mediocre Pak by 79 runs last year batting 1st, but the 3 tests before that all the teams bowling 1st had huge wins (two by an innings & one by 8 wkts)Woah, toss pretty massive then.
Those teams were pretty bad though, those results reflect that more than the toss.Might be a good toss to lose. Aus beat a mediocre Pak by 79 runs last year batting 1st, but the 3 tests before that all the teams bowling 1st had huge wins (two by an innings & one by 8 wkts)
Honestly no I think both those batting orders were every bit as bad and probably worse.Well the last 3 teams that lost batting 1st were South Africa, England and Australia with all of them getting bowled out on the first day. I wouldn't say their batting orders were any worse than current fragile India and Australia
I too am going hurry up. Makes me wonder how we survived in the 80's with a tour games between testsWhat a long wait between Tests. Let's effin go.
Yeah same. India were lucky to make it one all this far and now they have the chance to up the game. I can see an Indian win here and a draw next gameI've got a bad feeling about this test. Head potentially unfit, instability with switching openers, Mitch 'definitely fit to bowl' Marsh taking up space, Khawaja not looking like doing much. India's won the last two times at Melbourne as well and the pitch generally favours their bowling style.
so basically open with Rahul since Rohit aināt lasting. Maybe he can score a quick chancy 30 openingRumours that India are going to fix the one working thing in the lineup and move Rahul to 3 while Rohit opens
Itās almost like Indian supporters have fled their homeland for a better shot at life elsewhere. Even somewhere as bad as MelbourneInteresting to see which side has more fans show up tomorrow. India could fill the ground easily on their own. Melbourne is almost a home game for them.
The batting for both sides is a rabble, so who knows. It's about the bowling. Can Bumrah out perform Australia's lot? **** shits me. He's practically a wanker.
Itās going to be 40 degrees. If you win the toss and field in those conditions your team is entitled to beat you to death with a stump when you get back to the shedsMight be a good toss to lose. Aus beat a mediocre Pak by 79 runs last year batting 1st, but the 3 tests before that all the teams bowling 1st had huge wins (two by an innings & one by 8 wkts)
Yes. After the first ball that he faces. So in that scenario, Rohit would get replaced by another batsman? Sounds like we should definitely encourage him to bowl first.
