NWS the very real issues with the batting, Marsh's continued non-bowling selection is probably driving me the most mental tbh. It's just flat out actively messing with the entire side and basically inviting more injury/ burnout for the front line bowlers. It's got to the point now where it's genuinely bizarre.

Whatever it takes!!!
Yeah, I want to think India can spring a surprise but Aus are easy favorites. Expect MCG to swing a little bit and not be as flat as the last time we played here too.

MCG will probably help the seamers. Might even have grass on it, though won't have the pace & bounce of Gabba. So India need to make one change. Bring in Rana for Reddy. I am sure top 7 can do a better job here compared to Gabba. Won't be surprised if India win this and Australia then win at SCG in line with my 2-2 series prediction.

3 pacers is simply not enough when the non-Bumrah pacers are inconsistent, so India need a proper 4th seamer as well, especially if the pitch has grass on it. If it's somehow dry then play Sundar. In any case there's no room for Reddy anymore with Jadeja doing well at no.7.

The reason India were in trouble at Gabba was because they conceded 450 in the first place! Aus played out Bumrah and demolished Reddy and Jadeja. So they absolutely need a genuine 4th bowler/pacer. And MCG is the right place to go for it.

He can't keep playing as primarily a batter at No.8, so he has to make way for a genuine 4th bowler.

In ideal world he replaces Rohit at no.6 but thats not happening. His FC average is 23/24. His top score is 42 so far. And he bowls at 125 km/hr. No thanks

Stokes chooses to bowl himself into an early grave in that last test despite having a fragile frame, all for the team

Marsh has a little boo boo and won't bowl for a 4 over spell.

If Martin Luther King watched cricket his dream would be for Chris Woakes to be Australian

These days the MCG tends to be very bowler friendly. Not always, but often. At Shield level it's basically the worst place in the country to try and bat if you're in the top five; tons of games have both sides being 5/50 before recovering.

If it is that bowler friendly, then I doubt any change will be made by India.

Temperature for Day 1 is expected to be 40+ degrees though, so whatever grass they leave will die out quickly, so probably need Rana/Sundar (depending on pitch) instead of Reddy.
